Ramsey McGrory, Vice President, Yahoo! North American Marketplaces and Head of the Right Media Exchange
Ramsey McGrory leads the Right Media Exchange business, and is also responsible for establishing and growing Yahoo!’s strategic use of data and insights for Yahoo! North American Marketplaces, whose mission is to leverage customer needs and marketplace dynamics to create winning strategies for the company’s display, search and video solutions. Prior to these roles, Ramsey was on the Yahoo! U.S. Partnerships team and oversaw Yahoo!’s strategic relationships with major agency holding companies. He also led a team that drove participation and growth of the Right Media Exchange, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2007.
With ten years of online media, banking and military experience, Ramsey brings a diverse background to Yahoo!. As a is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War and the early Internet days, he thrives in chaotic, fast-paced environments. Before joining Right Media, Ramsey worked in media and technology sales at DoubleClick and Excite. When there wasn’t an Internet, he spent six years at NationsBank and in the Treasury and Derivatives Trading Groups at Citigroup, where he focused on Internet banking and credit/debt derivatives structuring. He was in the military from 1985-1993.
Ramsey received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of the South, and a Master's degree in Management from Georgia Tech. He is based in New York City, where he is active in the William J. Clinton Foundation, sits on the board of The Jericho Project and co-founded Billions.org.
