Huw has immense amount of passion for his work in analytics and research and lives to share his findings and data. His time leading Marketing Management Analytics (MMA) shaped his ability to understand what components drive successful business solutions and how collaboration with strategists can turn insights into profitable marketing initiatives.
It is vital for UM to have a full understanding of market conditions as well as consumer behaviors in order to maintain growth in media ventures. Huw’s professional knowledge has been essential in establishing proprietary tools that give a full spectrum of our clients’ market and obtain the best-possible ROI for their ad-spend.
Huw Griffiths joined UM in June 2008 and serves as UM’s EVP, Global Director of Marketing Accountability & Research. Huw brings more than 18 years of experience in the field of advanced analytics research and a proven track record in helping high profile clients realize campaign effectiveness and ROI. He is responsible for building and driving UM’s accountability practice, overseeing research offerings, developing proprietary research tools worldwide and then implementing those programs with current and potential clients.
Huw joined UM from Omnicom Media Group, where he served as the U.S. Director of Metrics and Analytics, as well as head of the group’s advanced analytics modeling group, Brand-Science. He also served as Director of Metrics for Omnicom’s media shop OMD, where he launched and ran OMD Metrics, the econometric modeling group which became the foundation for Brand-Science.
Before joining Omnicom five years ago, he ran Carat's Marketing Management Analytics in San Francisco, where he learned the importance of utilizing analytics and research data to stay ahead of the competition; fostering a calculated view of current and future marketing decisions thereby improving business performance and achieving maximum ROI.
