Mike Drexler is currently a Managing Partner at Drexler/Fajen & Partners, a media agency review firm that works with advertisers to evaluate their agencies’ performance. He was previously Founder and Principal of Drexler Geller Associates, an executive search firm specializing in the advertising and media fields.
During his more than 40 years in advertising, Mike Drexler has planned and placed billions of dollars in media advertising, both domestically and internationally, for virtually every major product category.
Prior to his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Optimedia U.S., Mike opened the New York office for Mediasmith, an Interactive media agency headquartered in San Francisco. During the previous fourteen years he was Worldwide Media Director of FootConeBelding (FCB) and Bozell as well as Chairman of True North Media. Before that, Mike was Executive Vice President and Worldwide Director of Media and Programming at Doyle Dane Bernbach where he served for twelve years.
Mike began his career at Ogilvy and Mather where he became the youngest Vice President in the company’s history. He was later named Ogilvy’s SVP, Director of Media and spent thirteen years with the agency.
In addition to serving on many industry committees, Mike has written articles that have appeared in many leading industry publications and has been a guest lecturer at the Harvard Business School. He was also a contributing author to “Marketing in the New Electronic Age” published by Harvard Business Press. In 2004, Mike was featured as one of the top 100 executives in “Leadership Secrets of the World’s Most Successful CEO’s” published by Dearborn Trade Publishing.
