Lynn is President and CEO of She Runs It (formerly AWNY), a 501c3 not for profit organization that exists to pave the way for more women to lead at every level of marketing and media.
In that pursuit, Lynn works closely with corporate executives, influencers and mentors across the industry to develop programs that empower women to achieve their professional goals at every stage of their careers.
Lynn joined AWNY in 2012, and immediately embarked with her Board of Directors on a journey to reimagine the organization. Recognizing the industry had become more than just advertising, and more than just New York, they looked to rebrand the organization, expand into new geography, and refresh the mission.
Fast forward to 2019:
- The Chicago chapter is now more than 1,000 members strong after just two years in that market, and the organization is making plans to expand to the west coast by the end of the year.
- AWNY rebranded to She Runs It in 2016, and the name has since became part of industry vernacular.
- She Runs It completed and published the industry’s largest benchmarking study in partnership with EY and LinkedIn. Believing that you can’t truly tackle a problem until you understand it, the study looked at the career trajectories of nearly 4 million people and 4 thousand companies to determine why women are not advancing to the heads of more tables in our industry.
- In 2017, Lynn orchestrated an alliance between She Runs It and Diversity Best Practices to launch the Inclusion and Diversity Accountability Consortium (IDAC). Operating under the hashtag #inclusivebrands, the consortium has completed its first annual benchmarking assessment and conducted six roundtable conversations with participants to surface and share best practices.
Prior to She Runs It,Lynn’s career has spanned digital media roles in entrepreneurial and corporate environments.
Lynn is a proud graduate of Boston College and received her MBA from NYU. She has two grown children, loves racquet sports and anything on the water. She lives in Larchmont with her husband George.
