>Abby Auerbach is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at TVB, the television station marketing association. She joined TVB in June 2000 as Senior Vice President, Marketing; was named to the EVP position in September 2000; and added the CMO title in January 2010.
She has direct responsibility for Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing Research and Creative Services and works with TVB’s CEO on strategic direction and overall management of the company.
Ms. Auerbach spearheaded the local TV broadcasters’ eBusiness efforts for over a decade and, in 2007, directed the development and marketing of the industry’s multi-billion dollar transaction platform, ePort. In 2009, she created the association's "Why Spot Now" video marketing and on-air campaign and, in 2010, led TVB’s re-branding initiative - including a new company logo and website.
Previously, Ms. Auerbach was Senior Partner, US director of local broadcast for Ogilvy - a post she held during the last 9, of her 17, years with the agency. She serves on the board of the International Radio & Television Society. She is past chair of the Local Broadcast Committee of the 4A’s (American Association of Advertising Agencies) as well as the past chair of the 4A’s eBusiness Committee. She is a former board member of the New York chapter of AWM (Alliance for Women in Media) and, in 2009, was named one of the 25 Women to Watch in Sales & Marketing by the national association. She is a member of AWNY (Advertising Women of New York) and is a senior mentor in the association’s Mentoring Program.
The not-for-profit TVB is the trade association of local television broadcasters. Its members include television broadcast groups, advertising sales rep firms, and over 500 individual television stations.
