Marc DeBevoise is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of CBS Digital Media - the organization responsible for the digital media businesses of the CBS Television Network.
In this role, he oversees CBS Interactive’s leading properties for each of the CBS Television Network’s major programming divisions across all digital platforms, including Entertainment, Sports and News. For Entertainment, this includes CBS.com, the CBS Apps and CBS All Access, CBS’s subscription video-on-demand and live-streaming service; Sports: CBSSports.com, the CBS Sports Apps, CBS Sports’ Fantasy services, CBSi Advanced Media and high-school sports property MaxPreps; and for News: CBSNews.com, the CBS News Apps, the 60 Minutes App, and CBSN, the24/7 digital news network.
DeBevoise is also responsible for the CBS Television Network’s digital content distribution strategies, including full episode streaming acrossweb, mobile device and OTT platform distribution,dynamic ad insertion on cable VOD platforms, direct-to-consumer subscription video on demand, and live streaming initiatives including authentication/TV Everywhere. CBS Digital Media also develops both original and show-based digital content ranging from video programming, to applications, games and editorial content.
DeBevoise joined CBS Interactive from premium subscription service Starz, where he was the Senior Vice President of Digital Media, Business Development and Strategy. At Starz DeBevoise was responsible for the company’s overall digital strategy and the digital initiatives supporting its film, television and digital original content properties. He also led the generation, evaluation and execution of business development, strategic investment, and growth opportunities for all of Starz’ business units.
Prior to joining Starz, he held various roles at NBC Universal, in both Digital Media and Business Development, and worked in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at JPMorgan.
In recent years, DeBevoise has been recognized asone of Cynopsis Media’s “Most Intriguing People,” AlwaysOn’s “Power Players in Digital Media,” The Hollywood Reporter’s “Digital Power 50,” and Home Media magazine’s “Digital Drivers.”
He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, a member of the Board of Directors for the University Settlement, a leading social services non-profit organization, and the Board President of The Door, a non-profit organization providing youth development services.
He received his M.B.A. with distinction in Entertainment, Media & Technology and Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and his B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Tufts University. He lives in New York City along with his wife and their two children.
