To honor Women's History Month in March, TVB NEXT Women and BIA Advisory Services issued a survey focused on women in local media. The survey's purpose was to drill into the perceptions people currently working in the industry have about leadership, diversification and the paths women have toward career advancement in local television. The goal is to develop a resource that helps improve talent recruitment and retention, diversify station and corporate management and identify industry leadership opportunities. Abby Auerbach, Chief Communications Officer and the Executive Director of the NEXT Women program provides highlights and the steps to take to increase gender diversity.
TVB is the not-for-profit trade association promoting local media marketing solutions to the advertising community and works to develop advertising dollars for the medium's multiple platforms, including on-air, online and mobile.
