We continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by calling attention to three Latinx-centered TV shows that advance representation for the Latinx community. Now in its second season on HBO, Los Espookys is a largely Spanish-language comedy about a group of colorful friends who create a strange business providing horror to those who want it. (Don't worry, there are subtitles.) Lopez vs. Lopez, which is in production and will premiere on NBC later this season, is a multi-cam comedy based on the real-life relationship of actor and comedian George Lopez and his daughter Mayan. The show is described as "a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between." East Los High remains the first and only Hulu original with an all-Latin cast and crew. This issue-driven drama, which ran from 2013-17, follows a group of Latin teens as they navigate life, love, friendships, relationships and more. It is still available on Hulu.
