Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, and the One Club for Creativity are being inducted into the Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors, joining 40 companies, organizations and individuals who are proving that the media and advertising community can successfully recruit, train, educate and retain underrepresented groups. The One Club, a non-profit organization, raises funds through its industry leading creative awards programs and devotes those funds to advancing D-E-I, gender equality, creative development and education. Swanepoel emphasizes the importance of dedicated solutions to assuring the advertising community reflects the population being marketed to, with an emphasis on programs targeted to the Black community. In our Legends & Leaders conversation, he asks and answers why Black people are not learning about advertising in school, and points to the One Club's One School -- a 16-week free portfolio development school that has graduated 138 new Black creators in the past two years.

Swanepoel and the One Club will be featured during the advertising and media community's collective Black Talent Outreach Week October 17-20. View and share this video conversation in which Swanepoel shares programs, future plans and the path for Black creators to join the ad community.
