amp8220I have to tell you it was overwhelming just how much Christmas they are able to pack into a movieamp8221 he continuedamp160 amp8220Iamp8217d turn up to the set every day and think amp8216I39ve never seen so much Christmasamp8217 amp160Even reading the script we were iceskating one day at a Christmas market for two days it was like every day was a different Christmas thingamp8221Set in the busy world of advertising Jingle Around the Clock follows the story of Chicagobased advertisingamp160executive Elle Bennet Nevin whose plans to reunite with college friends at Christmas are derailed by the prospect of a work promotion amp160To her surprise Elle is teamed with advertising campaign 39fixer39 Max Turner Cassidy from the firmamp8217s New York office whose take on the holidays couldnamp8217t differ more from her own amp160As they work together itamp8217s not long before a mutual attraction develops but when Elle realizes Max intends to relocate to Chicago to be closer to family and apply for the position sheamp8217s pursuing things take an awkward turnamp160amp160amp160amp8220There were many things that drew me to thisamp8221 said Cassidy of the project amp160amp8220I really liked the script and the dynamic between Elle and Max which is kinda old school amp160They39re contemporaries attracted to each other disagree at work and both have a bunch of stuff going on amp160It feels modern and accurate but it39s also really fun to play as there are a lot of buttons to pressamp8220Max is somewhat of a fixer with the companyamp8221 he added amp160amp8220His job is to jump in and make things cooler or work better amp160You could call him the amp8216know guyamp8217 as he knows what to doamp160 The way he does that is to say amp8216This is how it needs to goamp8217 and everyone listens amp160I think prior to meeting Elle and working with her that39s how he has operatedamp8221Itamp8217s a trait Cassidy shares with Max amp160amp8220My wife will certainly tell you I am a knowitallamp8221 he laughed amp160amp8220One thing that Max and I share and I don39t want to say we are Scrooges amp8211 is that we are both easily overwhelmed by Christmas amp160From the tree to the Christmas wreath and everything else Christmas can be a little too much for me amp160What Max is doing in this movie is my preferred Christmas he39s posting up with his mom and sister and trying to take it easy amp160The things I love about holidays are just chilling eating more and sleeping moreamp8221In addition to the Vancouver location a place Cassidy loves spending time getting to experience a stressfree Christmas made the project even more appealing amp160amp8220It was actually pretty charming to celebrate Christmas earlyamp8221 he admitted amp160amp8220I really felt I was able to enjoy it more in October than in December as there was a lot less pressure and while I was pretending to be with family I wasn39t amp160That alone was a lot less pressure amp160I come from a big family and didn39t have to go to 14 people39s houses amp160I just had to go wherever the crew took me and pretend it was Christmasamp160 That was delightfulamp8221amp160Almost 15 years have passed since the actor came to prominence courtesy of his role as Zach Stevens in the hit Fox series The OC amp160He joined in the show during its second season and still counts his blessings for that opportunity amp160amp8220The OC was lifechanging in some waysamp8221 he reflected amp160amp8220It definitely was career changingamp160 I went from working in a restaurant to not working in oneamp8221He enjoys running into former costars like Ben Mackenzie and Rachel Bilson and in the world of reboots would absolutely be down to reteam with them amp160amp8220I liked every single person I worked with on that show so I would do it in a secondamp8221 he shared amp160amp8220Getting Chris Pratt back could be a little tricky thoughamp8221According to Cassidy and those around him Jingle Around the Clock wonamp8217t be the only time he graces the screen for Hallmark amp160amp8220I39ve never worked on a project where people have said to me more amp8216Oh this is just your first oneamp8217 amp160Everyone was telling me amp8216You39ll probably do 100 of theseamp8217 amp160That is so nice so if Hallmark knocks again I will absolutely answer the dooramp8221Jingle Around the Clock will premiere Saturday December 22 8 pm on Hallmark Channel as a part of its Countdown to Christmas programming event Click the social buttons above or below to share this content with your friends and colleaguesThe opinions and points of view expressed in this content are exclusively the views of the author andor subjects and do not necessarily represent the views of MediaVillagecomMyersBizNet Inc management or associated writers
