MFM's Second Half of 2023 Is Shaping Up to Be as Ambitious as Its First

It seems there will be no "lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer" for MFM. Just as we wrapped a very successful 2023 Annual Conference, we were in parallel focusing educational programs for the remainder of the year, to continue to deliver timely, useful events and opportunities for our members.

We're excited to unveil a brand-new educational event: MFM partnered with NMCP (National Media Credit Professionals) to co-sponsor the MFM & NMCP National Credit Conference, held in New York City on September 14. This one-day event is designed exclusively for credit, collections and order-to-cash professionals, and highly focused on the topics most relevant to those in this sector of the industry. Following a continental breakfast, the day's education sessions will take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Topics include addressing how the economy's latest twists and turns may affect the ad market; making sense of the newest payment trends; how to manage and motivate a hybrid workforce, and a roundtable discussion on today's business challenges, among other issues.

As MFM is well known for, we will end the day with a relaxing and fun cocktail reception from 5:30-7:30pm, where you can have more casual conversations and practice your networking skills with colleagues and A/P and finance representatives from the most influential advertising agencies in the New York area. It all happens at the beautiful World Trade Center in Manhattan. The best part? Registration is free for media industry professionals, and service providers who sponsor the event. Learn more details, register, and reserve your hotel room at the Courtyard Marriott just steps away from the World Trade Center here.

In the meantime, we have a lot going on in late July and August, to round out the summer. On July 27, MFM will present a Town Hall webinar titled "Drive Savings and Sanity in 2023: Telecom + Energy Sectors," designed to provide broadcasters with insights and strategies to reduce costs and eliminate expense volatility in telecom and energy. In August, two Town Halls take the spotlight: "Digital Sales Compensation: What Media Companies Need to Know to Incentivize Sellers and Grow Revenue" on August 8, which will take a deep dive into the challenges of getting the digital sales compensation model right. On August 15, "Unlocking the Secrets to Credit and Collections" will be an interactive webinar for credit and collections/order-to-cash professionals, covering a wide range of details of this specialized segment of our industry.

MFM's two Networks meetings in August take place August 10 (the Audit & Compliance Network) and August 17 (the Customer Finance Operations Network). Be sure to check MFM's calendar of events to get all the details and registration information for our Town Hall and Networks meetings.

Finally, MFM will be reprising our very successful fall regional meetings with four events in the planning stages for Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Atlanta and a Midwest location to be determined. These events are free to MFM members and provide an excellent opportunity to network with local friends and colleagues and take advantage -- while earning an hour of CPE credit -- of a terrific educational program. Look for details on dates, locations, and program in the coming weeks.

We're not taking a moment's rest to add value to the MFM membership benefits. There's nowhere else in the media and entertainment industry where you will find this caliber of education, networking, professional advancement and other opportunities. With a new Board of Directors set to engage on October 1, we plan to carry forward the great work the current board is doing, with the goal of continually improving our processes and programs. Keep checking back here at MFMInSites.com to see what else is we've planned for you.
