How did the 2022-23 Upfront point to significant changes in the media ecosystem? That question is among many that are answered in this episode of "Office Hours." The MFMInSites series features top thought leaders who are guiding and shaping the media and advertising industry. Host John Sanders talks with Stacey Lynn Schulman about a new Myers Report study that uncovers new revelations about how the media ecosystem is evolving.
Sanders is a Principal in the financial consultancy Bond & Pecaro. Schulman is Founder and Chief Executive of the research firm Human Insight and the lead analyst for MediaVillage. She was deeply involved in its recently released Upfront Inflation Report. In their discussion about the report's findings, Schulman and Sanders also discuss the relationship between moderate changes in overall Upfront spending and much higher increases in CPM rates, especially for certain niche programming categories. Also, Schulman explains the significance of omni-channel networks -- why they've achieved above-average growth and the flexibility they offer to industry participants.
