MFM Annual Conference Post-Keynote Interview: Google's Toby Scales Hits Attendees with AI's Reality (VIDEO)
The 2024 MFM Annual Conference included its fair share of reality checks for media and entertainment finance professionals. When Toby Scales of Google Cloud's Office of the CISO took the stage for his Tuesday morning keynote address, he may have actually frightened some of the conference attendees -- and rightly so. In his address, Scales laid out the history and current state of AI, and offered evidence that should give all of us cause to take both the promises and the threats of this soon-to-be ubiquitous technology very seriously. Joe Annotti, MFM's President and CEO, sat down with Scales immediately following his presentation to hit on the highlights of why his job is so critical to Google, and why he feels obligated to share his knowledge with others, including his mantra of "responsible AI is successful AI."
