“Doing the preview special with Alison and Happy was huge for me,” she continued. “They were the absolute best co-stars ever. I was star-struck. I had butterflies, but sitting with both Alison and Happy, who are pros, was wonderful. I’ve worked a lot with Happy, but not so much with Alison, and we just had a great day discussing all the wonderful Adoption Ever After specials coming up and the new Valentine's Day movies.”
In addition to the new movie premieres, Wohl (pictured at top, right, with Sweeney and Happy) is ecstatic the network is shining light on the plight of older cats, courtesy of Cat Bowl, hosted by Beth Stern. “This will be our first Cat Bowl, and it's huge,” she revealed. “Everyone loves kittens, and often cats are left behind -- but not at Hallmark Channel! We are dedicating a special just to them. It's so important for the rescue world. There will be cats having fun on the field, just like the kittens, as they try to score touchdowns. It's a real reminder that just like kittens, cats have such magic to them and should always be considered for adoption. Sadly, they are often left behind -- meaning the euthanasia rate is high. We have to put an end to that and remind everyone why cats are as amazing as kittens and in some ways can work out better because as an older cat you know what you're getting.”
As with all Hallmark Channel event programming, a preview special is now par for the course, and Wohl assures everyone this one is not to be missed.
“Hallmark’s been doing these kinds of specials for their programming for a while and they are a great way for the fans to get some behind-the-scenes action,” she said. “It's spending a Saturday night with Happy the Dog, myself and Alison, and a lot of animal talk! I hope everyone loves it as it’s going to be a great month here.”
Hallmark's special programming preview will be telecast Saturday, January 26 at 10 p.m.
