"Gilmore Girls" Binge-a-thon Returns Thanksgiving Week

UPtv, the television home for uplifting entertainment, continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Gilmore Girls with the return of the network's annual Thanksgiving week GilMOREthe Merrier binge-a-thon. UPtv will air all 153 episodes of Gilmore Girls 24 hours a day and will feature a watch-and-win sweepstakes containing one prize every hour during the celebration plus ten grand prizes. All seven seasons of this year's marathon will culminate with the cable premiere of the four Gilmore Girls: Year in the Life movies Sunday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. ET. The ultimate viewing event will begin Sunday, Nov. 22 at 11 p.m. ETand will concludeMonday, Nov. 30 at 3 a.m. ET.

Now entering its fifth year, UPtv's award-winning GilMOREthe Merrier continues to grow in popularity.

Fans will be able to binge their favorite series from true beginning to end, while enjoying exclusive behind-the-scene features with the cast and crew, trivia, watch and win contests and newly shot memories and insider insight from cast members Keiko Agena (Lane), Yanic Truesdale (Michel), Sally Struthers (Babette) and Liz Torres (Miss Patty). The weeklong social event brings families and fans together to watch at home and drives social engagement as they share and celebrate their beloved series. Since the first year of GilMORE the Merrier, the hashtag #GilmoreTheMerrier has trended in the U.S. and has received over 1.1 billion impressions on Twitter. In 2019, 4.2 million viewers tuned into of UPtv's GilMORE the Merrier binge-a-thon.1 The stunt continued setting records in its fourth installment by delivering UPtv's highest rated week of the year in W1849 and W25542. The marathon has previously been hosted by Scott Patterson (Luke), Yanic Truesdale (Michel) and Sean Gunn (Kirk).

Gilmore Girls, which aired from 2000-2007, is set in the storybook Connecticut town of Stars Hollow populated by an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists and everyday folk. The series starred Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Sean Gunn, Kelly Bishop, with special appearances by the late Edward Herrmann and recurring guest star Liz Torres. The multi-generational drama about family and friendship centers on Lorelai Gilmore (Graham) and her daughter, Rory (Bledel). Lorelai owns the town's bed-and-breakfast, the Dragonfly Inn, with best friend/chef Sookie (McCarthy), and has weekly dinners with eccentric, well-off parents Richard (Herrmann) and Emily Gilmore (Bishop) who always have something to say about their daughter's life.

The series was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who serves as executive producer with Gavin Polone and Daniel Palladino. The series is from Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions, Hofflund/Polone in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Gilmore Girls: Year in the Lifeis set nearly a decade after the finale of the original series. The revival follows Lorelai, Rory and Emily Gilmore through four seasons of change. The Gilmore Girls: Year in the Lifemovies will begin Sunday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. ET. The full schedule is below.

As Rory's secret London love affair continues, working on her book proposal becomes increasingly difficult. Lorelai and Emily go to therapy together.

Summer: Sunday, Nov. 29 at 3 p.m. ET (will repeat at 11 p.m. ET)
Rory tries to save the Stars Hollow Gazette from shutting down. Lorelai sits on the advisory committee for Taylor's musical, and Emily causes the other Gilmore Girls to worry.

Fall: Sunday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. ET (will repeat at 1 a.m. ET on Nov. 30)
At odds with the most important people in her life, Lorelai seeks wisdom in nature. Rory goes out for a wild night with an unexpected crowd.
