Beasley's Marie Tedesco on How Younger Professionals Can Excel (Video)
Back in the 1980s, Marie Tedesco fell in love with radio, and she's never lost her excitement for the medium. For the last 32 years, she's worked at Beasley Broadcast Group and is currently the company's CFO. In this conversation with MediaVillage contributor Janet Stilson, Tedesco says that Beasley's 61 radio stations are like her children, and she explains why the broadcast company's somewhat unusual move into esports makes all the sense in the world.
Tedesco, a native of Sweden, also talks about the key role that mentors have played in pushing her forward -- and she shares some frank advice for young people in the business who want to eventually hold roles like her own. Tedesco currently serves on the board of the Alliance for Women in Media. She is also Secretary on the Media Financial Management Association's board. In addition, Tedesco is Co-Chair of MFM's 2023 Annual Conference, which takes place in May.
