AAPI Heritage Month: Bowen Yang, JR De Guzman and Sherry Cola Keep the Laughs Coming (Video)
In celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we're putting the spotlight on three outstanding entertainers. JR De Guzman combines comedy, music and love of his Filipino heritage in his work. You can catch him on the Netflix special The Comedy Line Up. Bowen Yang has been on the writing staff of Saturday Night Live since 2018 and was promoted to on-air cast member in the fall of 2019, making him the first ever Chinese-American cast member. His pop-culture podcast Las Culturistas is not to be missed. Stand up comic Sherry Cola stars in the hit Freeform drama Good Trouble and was named "Fresh Face" at the world renowned Laugh Factory where she regularly performs.
